Rub elbows with Hollywood’s A-list, and get ‘physical’ with your favorite athletic idol. The wax attraction gives visitors an interactive, full-sensory experience; you can touch, see and hear major historical events and celebrities in a way unlike any other Washington D.C. attraction.
Madame Tussauds is the best way to see Washington DC! The newest addition to the Tussauds family is the Washington DC attraction, hosting a slew of exciting new experiences.
See for yourself why Madame Tussauds DC is “more than just another wax museum”. The fully interactive attraction features exhibits such as ‘Behind the Scenes’ – where visitors learn about the trade secrets used to create Madame Tussauds’ wax figures.
The D.C. attraction pays homage to some of the most influential and important political figures in U.S. history from Presidents to activists and assassins to First Ladies.
New! In celebration of Black History Month, The Presidents Gallery (one of the featured exhibits) unveiled a new wax likeness of the renowned African-American abolitionist, humanitarian and spy for the Union during the U.S. Civil War, Harriet Tubman. After escaping from slavery, into which she was born, she reportedly freed more than 300 slaves via the elaborate network of safe houses known as the Underground Railroad.
The US Presidents Gallery makes Madame Tussauds DC the only place in the world where people can meet and interact with all 45 U.S. presidents. History buffs, students and the general public alike enjoy a truly unique and enriching educational experience at the Gallery.
MTDC also features Tussauds’ signature celebrity style with its ‘Glamour’ area that allows guests to rub elbows with Hollywood’s A-list. The wax likeness of Britney Spears, Selena Gomez, Madonna, the Jonas Brothers, Penelope Cruz, Beyonce and a variety of today’s biggest celebrities are part of the attraction, Glamour room.
Visitors are able to take pictures with, and even interact with the extensive collection of pop culture stars, political leaders, sports heroes and musical icons
