It all started when on March 27, 1912, the Mayor of Tokyo City of Japan, Yukio Ozaki, gifted these cherry trees to the city of Washington D.C. simply as a token of growing friendship between Japan and the United States, hoping to share a constant amicable relationship for years to come.
The Cherry Blossom Parade

To celebrate the season, a high on energy, colourful National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade is carried out. Displaying huge colorful helium balloons, marching bands, celebrity entertainers and performers walk and dance along the entire route enthusiastically, playing lot of jolly good music.
